We’re celebrating a first: On October 3, 2024, our production facility in Bergisch Gladbach will be taking part in “Open doors with the Mouse” for the very first time. On this day, kids (and their parents) will get to experience all sorts of fascinating things up close, as doors that are usually closed will be opened for them. Companies, public institutions, research centers, cultural venues, organizations, associations, and many others will be there to give Mouse fans a behind-the-scenes look at their work. Be amazed, get inspired, discover new things with the Mouse, and inspire each other on equal footing—that’s what the big “Doors Open with the Mouse” event is all about, and this year’s motto is “ZusammenTun”, doing things together. And for the first time, RI will be a part of it.
To our great surprise, our 30 spots were fully booked in no time! We’re really looking forward to welcoming our young visitors and their parents and showing them what we do at RI. And, in line with this year’s motto, how we work together to build parts for some very special machines—scientific devices that often exist only once in the world, like the best microscope or the fastest camera.
Of course, we’ve got something extra special planned for the little Mouse fans on the “Türen-auf-Tag”. Normally, we manufacture complex parts for huge machines, but on October 3, we’ll be doing something different: a small particle accelerator to take home!
