Celebrating 10 years of RI

RI Research Instruments was founded ten years ago on the 1st of April - no joke and for us definitely a reason to celebrate.

Back in 2009, RI took over the accelerator instruments and special projects business from its predecessor company ACCEL Instruments. Over the years, RI has significantly broadened its portfolio, in particular by the acquisition of the former photon instrumentation business of ACCEL in 2015, which in addition to synchrotron instrumentation also included start-up activities in EUV sources and metrology applications, and by the acquisition of the Ampegon PPT assets in early 2019, which strengthens RI’s expertise in pulsed systems.
Today, RI Research Instruments GmbH counts more than 200 dedicated, motivated and highly-skilled employees. RI develops and manufactures high-performance components and systems, and provides solutions for customers in science and industry around the globe, with applications ranging from particle accelerators, beamline instrumentation and fusion equipment to special manufacturing projects and EUV/XUV solutions for the semiconductor supply chain industry.
