At RI we build unique instruments. Every customer is different, and every project has its own requirements. For us this means we need to keep our tools up to date all the time.
Recently we moved into our new fabrication building in Obereschbach, just a 10-minute walk from the Technologiepark which has been our home for decades. In this new building we have 2000m^2 for manufacturing unique parts with high demands on precision, cleanliness and the likes. It was also an opportunity to get new large machines. Here they are:
A brand new TruLaser Cell 7040 from TRUMPF allows us to cut and weld large pieces of sheet metal with unprecedented speed and precision. And a Reiden RX18 5-axis machining center seamlessly integrates milling and turning capabilities into a single unit. With its 2.2 x 2.2 x 1.6m^3 cutting area, this machine allows us to efficiently mill and turn our largest metal pieces again with remarkable speed, precision, and adaptability. The RX18 was specifically acquired to support the series production of items for a particular customer.
Both machines are in the final stages of installation and commissioning but have already proven their usefulness for our unique projects.
So, if your projects become more demanding in the future, we are ready to tackle them. We build the instruments that make cutting-edge research possible, and we have the machines to do so.
